Reliance Retail has finished reorganising its consumer brands (FMCG) arm, shifting it into New Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (New RCPL). Upon allotment of shares under the scheme, the pre-scheme New RCPL equity held by Reliance Retail Ventures (RRVL) stands cancelled, paving the way for the unit to run with a sharper, standalone focus. Reliance Industries continues as the parent (it owns 83.56% of RRVL). The move follows recent NCLT clearances on the restructuring roadmap.
