NITI Aayog is lining up a Global EV Summit in Mar–Apr 2026 as part of a reset to India’s e-mobility game plan—after magnet shortages and lukewarm big-ticket bets dented momentum. The meet (a sequel to the 2018 MOVE Summit) will push mandates + incentives for e-trucks/buses, shore up rare-earth magnet supply, and court global OEMs/investors. It follows a new ₹7,280-cr magnet PLI, tweaks under PM E-Drive, and a reevaluation of the 2024 “Tesla scheme.”
