We hear a lot about “smart warehouses”, but what does it look like on the ground in India? AWL India breaks it down: AI for demand prediction and route optimisation, and automation through sensors, cameras, conveyors and robotics to speed up movement inside the shed.

They emphasise real-time visibility across suppliers, warehouses and last-mile – connecting WMS, TMS and tracking data so FMCG brands can react faster to demand spikes or disruptions. For Indian FMCG networks juggling GT, MT and quick-commerce, this is a useful snapshot of how 3PLs are upgrading, and what kind of capabilities brands can start asking for in RFPs.
