At TiEcon Delhi-NCR, Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal urged India to strengthen supply-chain resilience, gain control over critical technologies, and reduce over-reliance on specific geographies. Framing “swadeshi” as key to long-term growth and sovereignty, he cited Covid-era lessons, called for selective decoupling, and pushed deep-tech (AI, quantum, defence, space). Goyal also said a second Fund-of-Funds tranche could be dedicated to deep-tech to help founders retain ownership.
