After a year of building, Zepto says it has finished automating its backend supply chain nationwide—tying together forecasting, inventory allocation, picking/packing and dispatch orchestration across its dark-store network. The rollout was announced by CEO Aadit Palicha and first reported by ETtech. The aim: faster, more reliable fulfilment and fewer stock-outs across cities.
Coverage of the rollout adds that the automated network is now processing ~2.5 million FMCG units daily, with a notable lift in manpower productivity and annual cost savings—benefits Zepto expects to compound at scale.
