The Union Budget 2026–27’s customs duty exemption on aircraft parts, components and key raw materials will lower input costs, unblock localisation, and strengthen India’s civil-aviation supply chain, the company said, calling the move a “timely, decisive” fix for long-standing cost and sourcing bottlenecks.

The policy also covers materials for defence-aircraft parts, supporting manufacturing, MRO and seaplane/regionals under Make in India. Industry reactions suggest the relief could attract fresh investment, accelerate vendor development and improve competitiveness across the ecosystem.
